NIZUC Resort & Spa started with a big idea and a waterfront property. The developer came to us looking to create a story on which to build their brand, from the ground up. Since the beginning, we have worked with the NIZUC team on every element of their brand, across print, digital and physical spaces as they have grown to be an elegant and sought-after destination.

THE CHALLENGE

NIZUC was founded on the dream of an elegant escape and a burning desire to compete with established luxury brands. The enduring brand we designed for the dream of NIZUC was built to meet that challenge. Over the years that we have worked with them, new challenges have presented themselves: the complexities of digital advertising, the changing local Cancun landscape, the shifting desires of consumers. To meet these challenges we continue to partner with the NIZUC team, savvy partner agencies, and extraordinary photographers.

THE INSIGHT

The NIZUC brand calls on Mayan heritage for a distinct identity. Inspired by the natural forms of the environment and the color palette of the region, the handcrafted logo that is modern yet timeless, elegant yet custom. It connects people to the experience of the resort, evoking images of NIZUC’s endless ocean horizon and the authentically Mexican aesthetic.

THE RESULT

CSA’s original positioning and identity has proven an enduring foundation for the NIZUC brand across channels, applications, and collateral. An ongoing partnership with the NIZUC team has created an expressive system that is both beautiful and relevant to diverse luxury hospitality audiences.

We built the story around the key messages of sophisticated design, a serene experience, unspoiled nature, and warm personalized service. These ideas drove a custom photography shoot, the products of which we leveraged to attract the hotel operator, a world-class architectural team, and premium travel industry partners.
